Childcare Centre ‘t Knuffeltje in Delft gives special care to babies. There is a separate group for the babies, where the youngest ones receive all the attention they need and deserve. We have a very experienced and established team of carefully selected childcare professionals who are highly experienced and genuinely dedicated to their profession. It requires a number of core qualities to be a good baby worker, such as patience, a loving character, maternal instinct and organizational ability. We think it’s very important that our babies feel safe and secure with us. Your baby will find a peaceful environment within their own group and each day a familiar face of their own baby teacher.
Setting-in sessions: good for your baby and yourself
A few trail sessions at the childcare before you really have to start working again allow your baby and yourself get used to the new situation and environment. There will be new faces of the team members and other children to get acquainted with and the whole new environment with its own culture and structures. Our nursery offers a few setting-in sessions, which we schedule together with parents. We will be happy to discuss your child’s personal schedule.
Safety and love
The development of your child will be very prompt in the first year, becoming aware of his
own body, starting rolling, crawling for the first time to consciously playing with others
eventually taking the first steps. It is important that this can happen in a calm, safe and
familiar environment. That is the reason why we choose at childcare ’t Knuffeltje to link no
more than 2 baby workers to our baby group. The room is also fully equipped with safe
materials and there is plenty of room for free crawling and exploring. Combined with the
familiar eating and sleeping schedule and a loving and respectful attitude of the baby worker, your baby will feels safe and secure with us.
Own rhythm and upbringing like at home
In the first year of the child at childcare center ‘t Knuffeltje we will follow your child’s own rhythm in terms of eating and sleeping schedule, playing and comforting the child when its said. All children are unique and develop at their own pace. Therefore, it is very important in the first months that your child can develop well within his or hers own rhythm. This is possible because we have a separate baby group where there is enough room for personal attention.
Babies and room for development
A child’s first two years are critical for the development of the brain and for language development. During this period, the child’s life experience plays a fundamental role in the “hard-wiring” of the brain, laying the foundation for all intellectual and emotional development to follow.
From birth, babies are busy, active learners, immediately investigating the sights, sounds, and feel of the world. Babies and toddlers are sensory-motor beings. They explore the world with their senses when developing motor skills.
We provide babies and toddlers with what they need: a safe world, rich with opportunities to actively explore, with books, songs, and a lot of listening and responding to their vocalisations and words.
Diapers and food are included
In principle, you do not have to bring anything. We facilitate everything needed for the care of children. If special dietary nutrition is necessary then we discuss how to organize it.
